Summary

We are seeking experienced Researchers and Data Collectors with proven skills in conducting field-based studies. The primary role involves collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to support research project objectives. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups, organize interviews and focus group discussions, and prepare comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Data Collection: Execute field data collection plans using surveys, individual interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Interviews & Discussions: Conduct interviews with individuals and Key Informants (KIIs) to identify needs and extract vital information.
• Discussion Management: Effectively organize and facilitate FGDs, ensuring active participation from all members.
• Data Entry: Utilize electronic data collection applications and systems to enter and document information accurately.
• Reporting: Summarize and write periodic, concise reports on data collection findings.
• Methodological Compliance: Correctly apply quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (interviews/discussions) data collection methodologies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the research team to ensure project goals are met.

Required Skills & Experience

• Practical Experience: Proven experience in data collection and conducting field research/studies.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to plan and organize interviews and discussions efficiently.
• Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Analytical Skills: Capacity to grasp complex information and summarize it effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK) and basic computer software.

Educational Qualifications

• University Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sociology, Political Science, Statistics, Management, or any research-related discipline).
• Additional Training in research methodologies or data collection is considered a significant advantage.
