Yemen: High-Level Workshop to Activate the "Triple Nexus" for Human Security and Development
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in collaboration with the Yemeni Ministry of Planning and international partners, organized a specialized workshop aimed at establishing the "Triple Nexus" approach in Yemen. This strategic framework links three vital pillars: Humanitarian Action, Development, and Peacebuilding.
Integrated Efforts: Activating governance mechanisms that link national operations with urgent humanitarian needs.
Risk Analysis: Developing a comprehensive human security framework based on an analysis of risks, vulnerabilities, and local capacities.
Sustainability: Ensuring alignment between international programming, Yemen’s national development strategies, and resilience-building goals.
The United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS).
The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC).
The League of Arab States.
The Ultimate Goal: To transition from solely providing emergency aid to fostering sustainable development and lasting peace through unified institutional coordination.
